Instructions for digital stamping
This rides uses digital stamping, where you can stamp at controls directly in your phone. To stamp, you only need a phone with GPS and a web browser.
Where do I find my brevet card?
A link to your digital brevet card is sent by e-mail when you register for a ride. If you use that link, you don't need logging in. You can also log in at this page, select a ride where you is registered, and select the button "Brevet card".
You are encouraged to try opening the link before the ride starts.
How do I stamp?
Open the link to your digital brevet card. When asked to share your position, you should answer yes.
At each mandatory control - which often includes the start of the ride - you should stamp. Open your digital brevet card, and scroll to the control you would like to stamp at. When the app has acquired a GPS position, the "Stamp" button will be active for the control where you currently are located. Click the "Stamp" button. When the stamp is registered, you will get a stamp in your brevet card.
Map
The "Map" tab contains a map of the route, with track and controls. Each control has a stamping zone. You have to be inside the zone to stamp. The zone is displayed with a dashed yellow border. You can also use the map to check that the phone has found your position correctly. When a GPS position is found your position will be displayed on the map as a red circle with white border. If you are moving, it will be displayed as an arrow in the direction of motion.
GPS button
On the top right is a GPS button. It will show a red circle in the middle when a GPS position is found. When you click the GPS button, the map will zoom to the current position. You usually don't need to do anything to get the current location, but when you click the GPS button a new position is also requested. This can be useful if you arrive at a place with good GPS reception from a place with bad, for example from indoors to outdoors.
Stamp without internet connection
You can stamp without internet connection, as long as you can get to the app in your web browser. If you don't have internet connected, stamps will be saved in your web browser until they can be reported. The app also tried to synchronize from time to time when in the foreground. You can also click on the "Synchronise" button, which appear when there are stamps left to report.
In case of problems
Check that you have allowed sharing your location. You may have to reload the app app for the changes to have effect.
Some web browsers may wrongly display an old position before a new is available. If you don't get the correct position, let the app stay in the foreground for some minutes. If needed, press the GPS button to request a GPS position again. In case of problems, use a location with good GPS reception, for example outdoors.
If the browser GPS service still does not work, you may have to restart the web browser. You can also copy the link to your brevet card and open in a different web browser.
Another option to get correct GPS position in your browser is to first start another GPS using app, for example Google Maps, Strava, RideWithGPS or similar. After that, you can try opening your web browser and the brevet card again.
If you can't stamp in the app
If you can't stamp because of GPS or internet malfunctions, you can take a picture of yourself with a background of something identifying your current location, and send to the arranger afterwards by using Meny → Report photo stamping. If your phone does not work at all, you can ask someone else to make a photo of you, or stamp for you in the app. Which methods of stamping are valid is decided by each organiser.
Stamp for other rider
Has a participant problem stamping? If you are at a control, you can help by reporting that another particitant is also there. Go to your digital brevet card and select Meny → Stamp for other participant.
Report position or DNF
Would you like to report your position, even when not stamping at a control? Click on Menu → Report position. You can also add a message. This can be useful for example for people following your progress.
Do you need to abandon the ride? Click Menu → Report DNS to send a report to the arrangers that you cancel. You can also add a message.
